Correct.

I listen to TOOL about 90% of the time in the gym

Also select tracks from

Velvet Revolver

The harder stuff from Pearl Jam

Some Radiohead

The harder stuff from The chili peppers

Some Foo Fighters

King's X (very prog rock)

I mother Earth (their first record)

Mudvayne

Disturbed

Fight

I could go on and on...lot of good shit but not a lot of NEW good shit.

I love to listen to classic rock when I'm driving or fucking around in the house.
At the gym I need something heavy I can really get into.

As great as they are, The Stones ain't gonna cut it ;D

Yeah, very heavy but excellent, excellent musicianship.

Like I said...I only listen to the Balls-out stuff from the Foo's and RHCP at the gym.  Like "warped" for example.

Mixing DEATH/OBITUARY/Early MORBID ANGEL with those other bands is a tragedy.

Two newer bands I've been digging lately - Operator and Five Finger Death Punch.  Each has a single on rock radio - Operator has "Soulcrusher" and FFDP has "The Bleeding."

haha very true.

240 - I've read this whole thread and M8's the only one who has suggested anything worthwhile.

I also recommend -

(new) Warbringer
Brain Drill
Meshuggah
Nile
Bloodbath
Hate Eternal
Anaal Nathrak
Kalmah
Kreator
(old) Arch Enemy
Exodus
Nevermore

For cardio -
Amorphis
Pathosray
Amoral
Symphony X

Rock makes up I'd say about a third of what I listen to these days (sadly enough) and it's a real trick finding the good stuff anymore and pretty much impossible if you don't have satellite radio in your car IMO...especially living in Los Angeles...K-Rock's still spinning vintage STP about as much as they play anything (nothing wrong with that) but I mean, for the harder, newer, good stuff you really need either SIRIUS or XM...

Anyway I was really excited this week to find out Filter has a new album coming out in mid-May but their first single just dropped.  It's not an absolute headbanger but I still think it rocks and I've been playing it alot so I'm stoked about what the whole album will be.

You can hear it at the link below or on their MySpace and I found a high-quality version you can download on Limewire the other day so look there too if you want it on your iPod; just be sure to get it 192kbs quality if you can.

Roberto,

why don't you tell us what kinda music you listen to?  Something more specific than "rock"?
