LOL...

First, the absurdity of drug testing in pro bodybuilding has been noted, and obviously it's a law on the books for appearance's sake only.  Not to be enforced.

Second, SF is right... who the hell would go to the Olympia to see naturals?  Guys smaller than what you see in your gym everyday?   Supps would stop selling, shows would fold without sponsors, and MD/FLEX would stop coming to your door every month.  industry closed.

B.S.  The same pro bodybuilders would still be way above the top gym rats if they continued following their meal plans and training routines set out in FLEX (as well as continued supplementing with creatine & glutamine) because these elite athletes have the hearts of lions and the mindset of champions.  Drugs are just a finishing touch, and thus could be easily dropped without any dramatic noticeable difference to their physiques.

I am pretty sure they stuck that rule or law in the books to simply try to satisfy the Olympic Commitee when the Weiders were trying to get BB into the Olympics.  They needed to show the IOC they were serious about drug testing.  That all went to shit when it never happened.  This is what I heard, but not sure.

As far as the IFBB are concerned Pros can use any Fukin Drug they like as they don't test- EVER.Now DELETE THE FUKIN RULE IDIOTS. ::)

Bingo.

To be on the list of possible Olympic sports, that choosen sport needs to meet the IOC drug testing policy, and of course WADA. To get rid of drug testing would result in bodybuilding being taken off the list of "maybe one day" olympic sports.

TomJoad, is right in that the best guys would still be the best pros (with some exceptions due to the possible drug response and drug use knowledge issues).
However, we would not see the same level of pro on stage without drugs.
I prefer the moderate midde ground. I don't think synthol freaks look good, but don't mind seeing a little enhancement done is a sensible way to dial in for the show.
If the Manion belly ban, overall physique judging edict was strictly enforced by every IFBB judge we would have the best of all worlds

even for the olimpics atheltes take steroids and diuretics... i know 2 or 3 olimpic athletes and they take steroids like a bpdybuilder... so tests are bullshit...
