He is, but it's not so much Kimbo hyping himself as it is the people trying to make a buck off of him.  I doubt it was his idea to record his backyard fights and post them on the net.  I'd say Kimbo's pimp (the porn guy) was responsible for that.  People responded to the vids, so they kept recording them.  I doubt Kimbo intended to become an internet sensation, but ya can't blame him for capitalizing on the opportunity.

Not everyone gets into fighting the same way. Kimbo "literally" fought his way into the big time. i don't hold that against him, even if some of his opponents weren't top caliber.

I have much respect for Chuck Liddell, even though he doesn't always act in a way that that deserves it.

But the whole "he has no ground game" or whatever he said is pure bullsh*t. MMA as a sport was created to put people of different fighting styles together to see what works.

Kimbo hasn't faced very tough opponents yet, but a lot of the UFC guys fight chumps here and there and Slice has not only dominated his opponents but destroyed them in seconds.

I honestly think that Kimbo would wipe the floor with Chuck Liddell, it wouldn't even be interesting

Do you really think Kimbo would mop the floor Chuck? Definitely not saying that Chuck is indestructable but Kimbo is really just in his infancy as it pertains to MMA. Kimbo is starting to win me over as a future legitimate MMAist but Chuck is 100% right with saying Kimbo has no ground game. This era of MMA is all about who is the most well rounded. Anyway only time will tell if Kimbo can hang with the more elite fighters.

You don't think CroCop has better hands then Kimbo?? I hope you are not putting Kimbo in the same league as Fedor. Kimbo is so overhyped he has some great trainers but none the less at the moment he is way overhyped
