Your right both Coleman and Yates are blue collar guys, but when I think of Ronnie Coleman the first thing that comes to mind is "genetic freak" and when I think of Yates the first think that comes to mind is blue collar worker.

Either way both guys are great.

How is it you fools think the one who lifts the most, trains the hardest?

Let's say there's two guys in the gym

One is benching 200 pounds.

The other is benching 300 pounds.

The first guy is struggling like a motherfuckre getting that 200 pounds up. Where as it comes easy for the second guy. Maybe the second guy need to move up to 400 pounds to struggle as much as the first guy.

if dorian rested for 5mins inbetween sets, didnt use full ROM etc etc,, you would see a much bigger weight on the bar..... ive never seen anyone put so much effort and be so bloody single minded in what there doin,,, dont get me wrong, coleman trained hard as anyone, but he didnt push him self to the limit...

if training with out goin to complete failure doesnt constitute training hard, then your in the wrong sport and you should swap over to power lifting, they lift fuck off huge weights all day long, rarely goin to failure...

then
row up to 405 starting from 225
then
tbar rows up to 12 plates
...
after which he did biceps...

also 200 dumbell presses starting from 90lbs or 100
12 reps with 200lbs
after which
he went and did incline preses up to 200 for 8 reps
as focused as dorian was...
he can only dream of such things

Dorian was screaming with incline dumbell flies

Struggling on the incline press despite a spotter. It was clear that his training style was center around ASS use, and would not work for the average joe(as with all heavy duty methods). Dorian's training also centered around machines. Harder my ass.

Ronnie used more sets and used heavy weights throughout. He also did more compound movements and didn't use many machines.

Where did you get that...most top BBs of the last 4-5 decades worked the muscle twice weekly, not once as is in vogue now. Including bulking phases with heavy weight.

As far as the volume, it wasn't extremely high plus he often used that to cut and refine, such as with arms, which was done for years in BB. Nothing unusual there.

Yates intensity seems to be mainly about someone screaming in his ear. He's almost standing up on those BB rows.
