I was thinking about picking up some fake 45 pounders. Aside from being able to post badass clips on message boards, I thought it might be good for the psychii to move that many plates.

However a quick ebay search turned up nothing.

Can anyone recommend a good site for buying fake plates?

I'm not aware of any BS claims made by pros.

In most sports, professionals have an obligation to appear honest to the media, in order to maintain the integrity of the sport.

I'm sure it's the same in BBing.

i like to use 1 real 45 pound plate and 7 fake ones when i do my 765 pound barbell rows.

no that would look fake as hell. I think flex has hollow plates custom made?

Ivanko, York and Hampton have made all made aluminum plates. These are used for trade shows, studio shots, and as props for fitness shops and such. These are the best looking and weigh about 1/4 of a comparable iron disk.

Another common scam is the use of bumper plates, especially the black training bumpers or the old black rimmed Yorks. Depending on the brand, you can get up to 10lbs plates that are about the same size as a 45lb one.

If you ever get to see old episodes of the old HBO football comedy "1st and Ten", they used the bumper plate trick quite a bit.
