Working M-F 9-7, and then taking time on weekends and other days to enjoy the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and more. I like to take pics, write articles and more.  But yes, I do try and balance a lot of things, which is on many weekends, it is strictly family time.

Just out of curiosity, did you used to work out and bodybuild? Just seems odd that you're so insanely interested in it yet its not apparent that you work out. I'm not making a joke or insult, not at all, its just curiosity.

thanks

Yes, I used to workout, but I am in my lazy state (so no excuses). In college, we trekked with a 70 pound backup through Yosemite and Sequioya, averaging about 15-20 miles a day. Hey, I know a lot of football fans, but they arent in shape either. You don't have to be in shape to have an interest in something. At the expo's, and at every event, you always meet some cool people.

That sounds cool. I'd love to go to Yosemite.

The Boise Fitness Expo could use a pro show with it.  Dan & Bob, did you think about staging the PBW Championships in Boise and joining it with this expo?

Sounds like a big event for Boise.  Why can't more well populated cities put on expos and shows like this?  I didn't know Boise was such a mecca for the business.

I know, but there still has to be a population interested in the "sport" to draw from.  The employees of this mom and pop website aren't going to be the only people there.

LOL...no...quite the opposite, actually...we had 1,000 people that COULDN'T get in last year.

I think it was the "Mr. Puniverse" contest we'll run for the 3rd consecutive year!

I know that Chick.  What I'm saying is that if the population of Boise and surrounding areas can support an Expo like this, why can't it be replicated throughout the country?  These Expos are a great way to popularize this "sport" or hobby or whatever you might to call it.

Because BB.com isn't based throughout the country....it's in Boise.

My question was really more general than that.  Why can't this "concept" be replicated throughout the country by some other promoter.  Its a successful Expo.  Certainly the the employees of the company aren't the only ones attending the show.  It draws people from in and around Boise.

The Boise event, expo and party is based at a clug called the Big Easy. Last year, they filled it to capacity, (I think it was 1,200-1,400), and the line outside was incredible (we took pics and videos). It was quite successful, but bodybuilding.com sponsored it, and many vendors came out to support it (with athletes, samples, etc).

It can be replicated, and it is, but usually in a form of NPC shows, IFBB shows that have booths with them.  This is bb.com's event, as they are based in Boise.

I've been to several IFBB and NPC shows around the country (local and national) and I have always been disappointed at the vendor turnout, especially at the NPC events.
