Ohhh yes there is.  Certain companies get a break if they consistently do a certain amount of pages, but thats up to their discretion.  A M&F ad is so much more, because their readership is so much more. 

And muscletech's advertising budget is somewhere in the millions per month last time i heard....You have NO idea what they are worth.  BSN too.

Print if a decent way to advertise. Oversaturation in the suppliment industry is making that less and less true though. EAS is far bigger then both of those companies combined.

USED to be.  As of today....no.  Not both combined. They are catching up quick.  Wouldnt be surprised if you see BSN or Muscletech involved in professional sports very soon...

EAS and Cytosport have already broken into the NFL and other pro sports.  I'm sure BSN and Muscletech will do the same.

What's it cost to be the main sponsor of a pro show?  That seems like it would be a great deal compared to advertising in M&F for these rates.

I dunno, I dont have hard figures, but I would think EAS's tv money and pro sponsership alone would be far greater then what either BSN or Muscletech spend on print.

That said, both companies spend big bucks on advertising.

I got a full page, full cover advert for a show I ran back in 1999 in the back of M&F for 5 grand.

However...

That is way below the average rate.

Robby Robinson was my guest poser, and he had credit with Weider for two free ads...one of which I purchased from him for the above referenced amount.
