Its nice to see that Bob has stayed around here so long, most pros and top level amatuers wont even bother with this site anymore.  I certainly don't blame them.

Yeah, that's pretty accurate...Joe Weider pulling the strings...Joe hasn't been active in running the IFBB for many years now.

I have a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from a famous university. I also have both my kidneys due to lack of drug abuse  ;)

What "famous university" would that be?

How long did it take you to earn three bachelor's degrees?

Are you a cage fighter, by chance?

I am amazed that you didn't know that people take degrees in multiple disciplines. I am guessing that higher education was not for you.

Back when I did undergrad you could take a major and a minor in one degree, but a second major was awarded a second degree.  But then I graduated from Georgetown.  Things are probably different at your famous community college university, huh?

I don't usually brag about my real life achievements as they are totally irrelevant to anonymous internet forums. I just found it amusing that a guy questioned my academic qualifications when I have a degree from the equivalent of the American Ivy league.

 What did you read?

Only in that hindsight is 20/20...Tom was very smart...TOO smart for his own good, which got him into trouble.

What do you mean by that?  Tom's decisions seem objectively pretty unintelligent, so how are you using his intelligence to explain his poor decisions?

no way did goatboy go to university. if he did then he was a big failure and became a bitter bottom dweller of getbig because he has no brain, money or wife. i think he was maybe the janitor at the place. he insults the big bodybuilders but is himself too terrified to show his skinny body of no muscle.

tom prince was so intelligent that he did unintelligent things? is this the logic of bob chic? HAHA

Matt C you make a great point just above my friend.

Nasser was the onyl bodybuilder with brains AND brawn

I think what Bob is saying is Tom was intelligent in a "mad scientist" way in that he came up with a formula to make him obscenely big and thick while ignoring the dangers.

IMO Prince was one of the best BBers ever, fucking HUGE, Thick and still had good lines. Probably the only white guy besides Francois to ever get that look. Fux was there for a bit but blew his gut out. And no Dorian was never there because although he was fucking gigantic, he did not have good lines at all

Prince could never get conditioned. he had a bad attitude as well. Dorian looked truly disgusting and repellent by the end. how he stole Nasser's Mr O in 97 will remain the greatest injustice ever in the sport.

I highly doubt that he came up with any unique formula. He would have taken the same giant cocktail of drugs that they all take. The same cocktail that has destroyed other people's organs and made those genetically capable of being so, obscenely big.

How do you not mention this guy?

This is the guy most responsible for Bob Chick's success in bodybuilding.  Aside from Bob himself....

Bob worked for Jim Rockell here in Rochester, and stop me if I am mistaken...but Bob's best placing in IFBB competition were with Mr. Rockell as the head judge.  Coincidence?

"Jim Rockell is an NPC and IFBB pro judge, former competitor and owner of a Powerhouse Gym in Rochester, NY. Jim competed as a natural athlete in the late ’70s and early ’80s with the old AAU, then became involved in judging and eventually became the first NPC Physigue Chairman in the NY area. He received his NPC National Judge’s card in 1983 and went on to become an IFBB Pro Judge in 1985. He is now on the Board of Trustees of the NPC as a Vice President and General Secretary and Zone Chairman for the Northeast USA, and on the IFBB Pro Judges Committee and the Men’s Representative for the IFBB. Jim has judged several Mr. Olympia’s and Grand Prix tours."

Coincidently...my worst placings as an amateur and IFBB pro, were also with Jim Rockell as the head judge....Jim calls it the way he sees it, always did. If there were some "gifts" to be given...I could have turned pro in 1989, when I took second in the USA...not 11 years after that.

...and yes, you can add Jim Rockell to that list as well, I count him amogst my closest friends
