Manly Palmer Hall (March 18, 1901 - August 29, 1990) widely regarded as a sage and teacher steeped in the wisdom of antiquity, was one of the leading esoteric scholars of the twentieth century. In 1934, he founded the Philosophical Research Society (
www.prs.org) in Los Angeles, which continues to publish Hall's many works and pursue his educational mission. In 1973 Mr. Hall was recognized as a 33º Mason (the highest rank possible in the Scottish Rite).
