Considering it is such an expensive trip I would think that you would definitely want to use the internet for this, so you can shop and save as much money possible. What does the amount of the trip have to do what you not being able to use the internet? Not enough credit available on your credit card or something? If so, use a debit. Of course you could always shop on the internet and take the best deal you find to your travel agent, they will know what to do.
