i dont give a fuck what your motivation is to join the military. when you join you dont know what you will be doing or where you will go. you may not even believe in the cause your serving for, but you put your life on the line. i see military flying out every time im at the airport. those motherfuckers are as brave as it gets. willing to die for your country no matter the cause deserves more admiration then anyone one can do.

As far as what I did. Twelve years in Navy. Did I get drunk on weekends? Hell yes. Did I deploy when ordered and do my job. Yep.

But at least I know what it means to serve and have the respect of others that served and deployed with me. That's something you'll never be able to understand.

Police officers and fire fighters do perform useful services.  Teachers too, for the most part.

We all contribute to the national interest in some way.  If you work for the government or the private sector or you keep a family afloat, you contribute.

Gov. is a necessity of social life.  I don't see government workers as leeches.  They as necessary as the private businessman to the country.
