Tonight, ABC 8 PM EST - Democratic Presidential Debate
« on: April 16, 2008, 08:17:02 AM »
Hilary and Obama go at it tonight in the Pennsylvania debate.

yes, it's going up against American idol, but that show doesn't start until 9 pm, so you can get an hour of politics in, before switching over to see who's going home tonight.

Don't miss it!

The last poll had Hillary leading by 5%.  Even if she wins, can she still take the nomination without the super delegates?

How do you know this?  ???

Because the Democratic party fuccked up as usual and put up the two weakest candidates they could find in a year where they should have won in a walk.

The GOP, on the other hand, put up a moderate independant who looks very presidential compared to the the goofballs the dems have running.

John McCain will be our next president.

All 3 will do a good job.  All 3 will do a similar job.

The debates between mcCain and Obama or Hilary - that's where all the swing voters will decide.  Even FOX news has admitted McCain is having "senior moments" - he's confused our enemy Al-Q/iran a total of SIX times now.  On a nat'l stage in a close race, it's likely he'll have more flubs.  Obama is Mr GQ smooth, but he will make missteps.

You mean like calling small-town Pennsylvania voters rednecks, or hanging out with a pastor that makes Al Sharpton look downright moderate?  Those missteps?  :D

I think Obama had a chance before the stuff came out about the church he goes to.

 He won't recover

Polls disagree with you.  Polls showed an initial drop, then a recovery in just a few days.

Americans have goldfish memories.

If they'll forget things like building 7 falling on 911, if they'll forget WMD were never there, they'll certainly forget little things like his pastor.

It'll all come down to who the media says was better in the debates.  People will say "you know, he was good... I'm voting for him!"

His "racist Pastor" another Ignorant statement. He is as much a war hero as McCain was.  He didn't say anything that wasn't true.  The ONLY people even talking about this is FOX NEWS. They have for 2 weeks straight.

Did you LOL when you heard McCain accidently confuse sunni/shiite for the 2nd time?

Or when he said iran was training Al-quida, for the 4th time?

Respect your adversary... Obama will shine on a national debate stage, and hilary is a tough hawk.  Both will present problems for Mccain.  Today, Congressman Murtha put it blunty "McCain is TOO OLD to be president".

Yeah imagine that, the liberal media trying to sweep it under the rug.

Sorry guys - entirely untrue.

I watch 4 hours of MSN, 3 hours of FOX, and 2 hours of CNN daily, while I work.

MSNBC actually made the biggest deal of the pastor statement, and they made the biggest deal of the 'bitter' statement, which was pretty minor.

FOX consistently focuses on their underlying weaknesses, but for the day-to-day mistakes, MSNBC points out the dem candidates the most, to be completely honest with you.

They said the same thing about Ronald Reagan, who was probably the greatest president of the twentieth century.

I'm not sure how much of the presidentin' from 86 to 88 was actually done by Reagan.  A great man, but a face for a team towards the end.

I don't remember Regan having as many verbal flubs about something as big as Al-Q/Iran, six months before the election, but I could be wrong.  I was only 3 years old at the time.

It's hard to just build sites all day in silence.  Now and then I listen to music, but I've been hearing the same cds on loop for 8 years now.

Sports is okay to watch during NFL playoffs.  But most of the time, it's kinda boring.

I listen to hannity now and then, and Rush quite a bit.  I cannot stomach Air America.

So the news fits the bill as something to watch when Spongbob or Dora doesn't own the TV.
