Heaviest dips youv see?

What is the heaviest set of dips you have seen?  Im curious where i stand.  I hit a personal best of 4 plates (180lbs) + 10lb belt + my 225lbs bodyweight today for 3.5 reps....not too bad i dont thin....thats 415lbs total

i make this spinach artichoke dip thats pretty heavy, snaps regular chips in half so you have to use triscuits or tostitos gold.

Dips aren't really something to do "3.5" reps on, brother. If you're going that heavy you're just begging to lose both your shoulders. Good chance you're not going deep either. I don't think I've ever seen anyone strap on more than a 100 pound dumbbell and do a set with good form.

I've only known two people that have torn their pecs, both doing dips.

I don't know about chest, but I've seen a few guys hurt their shoulders doing dips. One guy even ripped his completely out of joint thinking he'd be Superman and strap three 45s onto the dip belt. The only thing using plates while doing dips ever did for me was get my nuts pinched in the chain.

With that kinda weight and only 3.5 reps for dips, you're asking for an injury.. Why bother with only 3.5 reps?

My personal best is 205 lbs in plates + my body weight at about 218 lbs for a single.  My depth is pretty good and I will take a video if anyone needs proof.

i can beat it.  If i got 180 for almost 4 while going to failure the previous set....205 with my 225lb bodyweight is cake
