this oneis a great fight...stumbledupon it.....Nicholas...is a bit younger than me I think...I was his translator in 95 at the european kyokushin championships where he won the heavies...Just a really nice guy ( outside the ring) ...but long story short, he is the best fighter I ever got a chance to spar with ( kyokushin rules )... and I wanted to mention since I joined him a few times in the weight room : he squatted and deadlifted 495 lbs for reps....upperbody was weaker but kicked like a mule...u gotta FEEL those shots on yourself to realize just how hard these guys hit...ENJOY

Have you seen Schilt getting his ass kicked by Kharitonov? You can even hear him crying like a bitch at one point if I remenber correctly. Schilt is just good at K-1 where refs bend the rules and allow him to grip his opponents. Otherwise, he wouldn't be that succesfull. Good video BTW.

fROM WHAT i TALKEDTO THE PROS, schilt is a difficult cookie to crack...he is VERY tall. Technically sound...no breaks from him....I met Fihlo in 95 also...saw him train too...he was 1m86-87, 106kg...and prolly the hardest low kick in the bussiness by far....no can do against schilt...who also comes from kyokushinkay....

here's a pic of me and some of the fighters I spent a few years with....the guy with the face cut off is Lucian GOGONEL....CURRRENT EUROPEAN AND world champ in kyokushin....

the guy in the bottom left went to k1 but stopped due to the fact that he had to work masonry in Italy to support himself. I sparr with him occasionally . I'll post a clip sometimes.

sendme the link...orI'll lookfor it. They changed the rules at k1 because schilt exploited them so easily. It'slike bodybuilding...if the judges reward big and freaky...do not blame Yates or Coleman comingin with big bellies at 280 lbs...
