Did overtraining lead to Vic Martinez' leg injury?
« on: April 17, 2008, 12:38:50 PM »
He admits he trained legs on Sunday.

He was training them again on Tuesday when the injury occurred.

Who in the world trains legs every other day?

I remember him saying that he had tendonitis problems for years now. So basically it was a matter of time for him injuring his knee trying to work around the inflammation.

There are Russian powerlifting programs that have you squatting 7 days a week.  Training legs every other day isn't a bad thing if you know what you are doing.

Not really, you need are certain amount of time for the tendon to adhere to the bone. This type of thing can't be rushed.

how did arnold do his 'golden six', squats/ dead/ bench/ press/ curls, on M/W/F?

I assumed that genetics, piles of food, and gear would make a guy recover quicker
