Female Armpit Hair
« on: April 20, 2008, 12:20:16 PM »
Julia Roberts caused a stir awhile back at some awards show she attended with long arm pit hair.

Long pit hair on females doesn't seem to be the norm in America but I think it is widely accepted in many countries.

Do you have any feelings on female pit hair?  Please vote in the pit hair poll :)

Pretty sure the second chick's armpit hair is fake. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing some tv program on it when I was in the UK a year or so ago.  She went to a club with it and they had cameras following to see people's reactions.

Not a big fan of armpit hair.  However, it would not stop me if the woman looked like Julia Roberts.

Are you thinking of adopting the look, Stella?

It's also not widely accepted in most of the Old World. Maybe in the 1970s, but it's definitely not the norm now.

Yeah, the link of the second chick said it was fake.

Good. I'm thinking of getting my chest lasered this summer.

I must have drunk a lot of tequila when I was a teenager...

Why start a pit hair poll?  Did you see something? I sometimes see "alternative lifestyle" people with it. Not a good look.

Why?

I like the natural look as long as she is clean!

Why do we put so much pressure on women to be something they are not?

The lies:
High heels
Shaving every inch of hair except on the head (The infant look)
Perms
hair coloring
Make-up
Breast implants

No one is happy with who they are why?

Why do women fall for it anyway?

LOL YUCK, I'm not into it.   :-X

I get totally lazy about shaving my legs and pretty much don't do it at all except for summer time, but I have very light and fine hair...and I would NEVER consider letting the pits grow.

Stella, I am jealous that you got lasered!!

One of my girlfriends is into the "natural" look and has been for many years...she doesn't shave down south either but keeps it clean and trimmed. The good thing for her is that the guys she dates are all into that also so there isn't a problem (well, now that i think about it she's in her early 40's and never been married ???)

Sorry bro, Make-up, heels and hairless are all must haves!

Why are "Make-up, heels and hairlessness" must haves?
Does this make them less attractive or even less of a woman if they have hair?

I understand trimming for cleanliness but totally shaved?

My woman has fine hair on her legs and arms like RIP pointed out so she doesn't have to shave the legs and she shaves armpits because its easier to apply deodorant and pubes get a trim not the baby cut!

I'm just wondering why you want them to look totally different than how they look naturally, that is with make up?

Are you implying she is not married because she is natural?

I was kind of kidding, but she's very pretty and still single...there could be 100 reasons and her armpits are maybe 1...i don't know.

How much did it cost? I've got a hairy ass back (come to think of it my ass is pretty hairy too :-X )  and I wouldn't mind having it laser treated. I may not be able to stand the pain, but I can deal with that once I cross that bridge.
But how much my wallet going to get hit?

I figure you were kidding. Maybe she prefers the single life over marriage. I know if I was single and in my 40s and never married I would probably not want to give up my freedom after such a long time.

BTW I am a hairless guy (no arm pit hair, very little pubic and virtually non-existent on arms, chest, back and/or legs) I only grow hair on my head and face for the most part so I really don't understand the hassles of having alot of hair; I shave my facial hair maybe once a month.

I think the pit-stain thread on General made me think of it.

I had it done about 4 years ago I think.  I can't remember the cost but I remember it was expensive.  I had my pits and bikini line done and was going to have my legs done but it's just too painful even with the numbing cream.

I can't remember the name of the laser but it was for dark hair on "light" skin.  That laser probably wouldn't be the one Rip would have since her hair is light.

One reason it was so expensive is because apparently hair grows in "cycles" and you have to have the same places done 3 or 4 times.  The cost went down w/each subsequent visit but I remember it being costly.  Maybe it's cheaper now since the laser has been out for awhile.

I would think your back would cost over $1000 if the costs are the same.

I guess they used it on an 18 year old girl that had a beard and it changed her life!

LOL I bet it did!!   :D

I think i remember when I looked into it, I couldn't use a laser because my hair is too light and fine.  I think I can only do electrolysis.  My husband looked into it for his arms, and I think I recall it was going to be like $800 per arm.   :o

I've never dated a girl that had it.

I don't know what i'd do.   I'd probably act like I didn't notice, then ask my getbig brethren what to do about it.
