There's no denying he looks great: proportions, size, and all that. If that's what you mean by aesthetic, then yes.

Of course, if you mean "Bob Paris/Frank Zane" aesthetic, then obviously not, because that look is not rewarded in the NPC today. At any rate, Steve competes as a superheavy and is pretty "aesthetic" by superheavyweight standards.

He also has the mass. He is not an all-out gung-ho gotta-get-huge-right-away-at-all-costs mass monster like The Lunch, but I guess he could qualify as a mass monster.

personally i think he has the best of both worlds. the waist of the mass monsters, but the size of the aesthetics.

Take the pics of Trey in competition shape and compare with Steve's and there is no compairson who would win!

I think Steve is a good NPC BB and can win all the regional shows he wants, but in my opinion he will never get his pro card. He just doesn't have anything that is overly impressive to me. No "wow" factor.

And notice you said "Mass, Size, and Total Potential." The third of these is vague, but BODYBUILDING IS ABOUT MORE THAN MASS AND SIZE. It's not called "massbuilding." Trey obviously overdid it with the bulking, as his offseason pics show, and STILL didn't address his back.

I don't mean to be harsh on Trey or raise expectations, but shit, with the way MD/BSN were hyping him, you'd think he was the Messiah of bodybuilding and would just be handed a pro card as soon as he stepped on stage at the USA's.

With all due respect to Steve, I have to agree with Donthate regarding the possibility of Steve turning Pro. He'll definitely be a serious contender, but based on those photos, I don't think he has the potential to make it happen.

Good luck to him though and I'd be feeling darn fine if he proves me wrong.

yes, Trey does have stand-out legs, but stand-out body parts do not necessarily translate to success on the national stage (as opposed to the local, regional...). In fact, having such huge legs for the rest of his body might count against Trey, in terms of symmetry and proportion, etc. Mass isn't everything.

And Steve's legs aren't all that small either

I think people forget that Steve is barely drinking age in those photos.
With many competitors not turning professional until their mid to late 30's, Steve has plenty of "future" in which to turn pro.

Steve won the overall at a national qualifier before he was able to buy alcohol legally. Will he turn pro? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on that.

The point that needs to be emphasized is that he has 15 years until he reaches his "prime" in which to try.
