There goes the line between the prez campaigns and the news channel, eh?  ;)

Perhaps the boldest connection thus far.  Rove is a regular now on FOX news.

You may no longer consider the network unbiased.

Unless of course, they add a Hilary or Obama advisor to their staff.

Anyone think that will happen?  ;)

Isn't Uncle Rupert a Billary supporter?

Yes, because that is who he wanted the Repub candidate to face in the general election.

Hilary is only 11 year younger than Mccain, and a lot of people hate her.  It'll be close between her and Mccain no matter what.

obama, on the other hand, could win by 5 points.  He's inspiring millions of people who have never voted before, and he's grabbed most of the ron paul voters.

Mods-

Next time some asshat here says FOX is objective, please delete the thread.

I consider outright assaults on the truth to be baseless flaming.

U can say what u want about Fox news but they are no different then MSNBC with Obermann and Matthews who gush over the Dems. Further, the producers jump between CNN, Fox, and MSNBC or the majors. They are no different and I've worked with all 3. As well as NBC news. I can't speak for ABC and CBS but have not heard anything bad about them. Fox is a major news network and it the most popular or of the 3.

I agree completely that they all have a slant.

however, hiring the [chief] campaign strategist as a news analyst is pushing it too far.

I know karl Rove makes guilt-ridden neocons all squisy in their panties, but there is a total lack of separation here.

He is an excellant politician and advisor..but i agree he has to pick. Matlin (carvell's husband) worked for Fox but quit once Bush asked her to work for him.

Which Ron Paul voters? I've yet to meet a single one.

With exception of the war in Iraq there isn't a single thing Obama says that falls inline with Ron Paul's platform.

Perhaps you meant Ralph Nader?

There were millions of them, as the primary results show.

As people's candidates are eliminated from contention, they choose the one closest to their beliefs.

RP is about cutting spending, ending the wars.  The dems are closer to that than Mccain.  Nobody is gonna cut spending.  But the dems want to end iraq, which was one of the core RP beliefs.

Do you SERIOUSLY think many RP voters ran to camp mccain?  Really?  They're polar opposites.

The core of Ron Paul's supporters are conservative, independent, libertarian type voters. IMO, Obama is a socialist. I'd be shocked to find any Paul supporter backing him. When you look at all three candidates they are all opposites of Ron Paul.

I had stated in another thread that I've yet to hear any of the talking heads running make any bold recommendations. I think they're all playing it safe because they know, with our BS two party system, that once they get the nomination people will vote along party lines.

So who do you think the RP voters are voting for in the fall?

(You can't say they'll stay home - they were the most informed group - knowing about a guy with little MSM coverage - so they do care about the issues and only rarely do motivated, educated voters stay home - they settle instead).

I don't know, Rob. I guess it all depends on what issue they think is most important to them. If it's the war then I could understand why they'd vote Obama but that would mean they're dismissing 90 percent of why they supported Ron Paul in the first place.

Even if Obama only represents 5% of RP views.

Mccain is probably 4% or less.

And the war was the top issue that RP fans rallied on.  NO WAY they suddenly sing '100 years of war".

I disagree. While the war was one of the top issues it was the 9 trillion dollar debt, run away spending, and the tax burden.

You can lump the war appropriations under the run away spending that adds to our monster debt.
