I think that's exactly what they'll end up doing.  Especially with roughly 1/3 saying they'll vote for McCain if their team doesn't win.

they're full of shit :)

Of course they'll say that now.  I'm sure repub voters would have said the same thing, if Rudy/Romney were still shit-talking, 3 months later.

In the end, though, people vote based on war, healthcare, and economy... and VERY FEW people who stand by hilary on these 3 issues will suddenly support mccain (opposite on every issue).

I've been calling this Obama/Hilary ticket since Feb 5th.  it's on!!  And I think it really will be unbeatable.

No.

Said ticket would get destroyed in November.

Do you honestly think the White voters in PA/OH who supported Hillary only because she was the White candidate will support her vs. McCain in November?

yea that's probably true, but will the party call their bluff or push for safety?

Yep.  Two ultra liberals with zero military experience?  Dead bang loser.  Obama is smarter than that.

Hilary just promised to nuke Syria, iran, lebanon, and others if ANYONE attacks ANYONE for ANY reason.

Ultra-liberal?  She's been characterized as a hawk since early on.  I'm a little surprised that this far into the primaries, you would say something so obviously incorrect, BB.

Tre,

I am ABSOLUTLEY convinced that a hilary/Obama ticket is unbeatable.  Hilary destroyed him in the swing states - Penn, mich, ohio, FL.  He OWNS the liberal base and the youth vote, and she OWNS the "I gotta feed my family" middle working class scared of a recession.

If they run together, they will dominate, I'm sure of it.

I wouldn't be so sure of that, Rob.

They are pretty far on the left on their own. Together they would be just too much.

Besides, what makes anyone think Hillary or Obama would settle for VP? It would just rub salt in the wound constantly reminding them of their loss.

Neither of them would take second seat. Hillary's ego is just too big and Obama doesn't need her to win.

Hilary is a war hawk, and israel loves her.  She has a massive political infrastructure in key swing states, and the Clintons are very shrewd.  "too much"?  that baffles me.  It'd be a power ticket.

Nonsense here... I gotta call it... knowing you're a heartbeat away from the best job on the planet... NOBODY turns that down.  Going back to being a senator would be salt in the wound!

Do you honestly think either one of them would be happy with the second place trophy? This race has become personal for them.

Of course they wouldn't be happy.
Of course this race is very personal.

But the VP position means you're a heartbeat from the presidency, and it's WAY more power than being a senator.  NO WAY either of them would turn it down.

Obama will not choose Hillary as his VP.

I don't think he'll have a choice.  without the req'd number of delegates, she'll make a scene at the convention and continue to undermine him for another 2 months.

it's probably a quiet debate at his camp - do we promise hilary the job so she'll quit destroying us on a daily basis?

Hilary a hawk?  lol. . . .

I guess I could have said something like this:

April 5/6 survey

Hilary and Obama now tied at 45%.

hilary led 52 to 41% exactly one month ago.

This trend ain't good for hilary.

Monster 240 prediction: Obama wins Pennsylvania in 15 days.

Sounds pretty accurate, except Hillary is pretty much done.

I have to say, upon further reflection, that it would not surprise me if Obama selects Hillary, given the Democrat party's penchant for putting losers at the top of the ticket.  It would be a recipe for a loss in November, but they do it all the time (pick weak candidates).

obama will win the nom. and select a military guy for the VP slot.

NT

That would be the smartest thing to do.  Picking Hillary, who has zero military experience, would result in two far left left liberals to run two wars.  Cannot win.

Impressive win for Hillary.  She beat obama by approx 220,000 in the total vote.  What is the actual #s on the popular vote now?  The political analysts say if you add the Florida results (which were fair...just early) with last night's victory, she is ahead in the popular vote.  Additionally, she leads in nearly all the big states and battleground states.

This is a real tough one for the democrats.  I agree with Bay, she would pick him as her VP but he may not pick her.  I don't think she would settle for VP either and if she did, I see problems.

One is Black, one is a woman, and this is still America.

Ticket with 2 (or even just 1) White males vs Ticket with 0 White males will be a...well, whitewash.

You're spot-on.

Any American who wants to do so should be allowed to run for President.  I'm fine with that, even though, in my opinion, Hillary should've been convicted of a few felonies by now.

My dislike of Hillary stems from the fact that I know too much about her.  People who know nothing tend to be the ones who are most fine with her being in the political limelight and in a seat of power in the nation.  She thrives on those who have no idea that they're pawns in her little game, one that she has played masterfully for two decades.

If Hillary is on the ticket, I promise to take 10,000 McCain voters to the polls with me in November.

Tre, I see your point but the majority of the US has moved past that...I say majority!

Poll a lot of white republicans and ask them if they would consider voting for Colin Powell....you see, its not just race, its ideology.  A more moderate or conservative black candidate would be supported by many more independents and moderates, I think Obama will now loose a good % of those people.  Obama is not moderate, he is very liberal and the whole association with Rev Wright and the minor association with the other activist pastor will hurt him in the general election.

I still think an Obama/Clinton ticket would be extremely hard to beat with this kind of democratic turnout.
