Thing with Rory is that he would either come in TOO light, at 192 pounds. He was a 6 footer, or he would balloon up to 280 pounds in the offseason and by the time of the competition, he was still way too waterlogged at 235-250 pounds to do any serious damage. At his best, he had a crazy physique.

Very nice seeing Rory again, coming to support Jon Lindsay's 2008 Orange County Muscle Classic last Saturday, April 19th, 2008...  after prejudging, we talked with a few people, including Lonnie Teper and Shawn Ray, who said that Rory was the greatest bodybuilder never to turn pro. Lots of interesting stories about Rory...

Some of you people on here need to lighten the f**k up. Personally I know Rory has gone through some hard times over the years with cancer, separation from his wife and the passing of Joe Valdez and I've been there for alot of that and for all the things he has gone through there are very few who would be able to stay as positive as he has. Bodybuilding is still his life and he still trains people who win because of him to this day. Rory admittedly does have a huge ego but if he didn't have that ego, he might be dead.

In the pics that Ron posted, Rory is about 2 months from having more cancer removed but it looks like they got it all this time, he can't really train right now because they had to shave some bone from his shoulder but he has most of his ROM back and should be able to do something soon. To tell you the truth, I'm pretty sure that this is the first time in years that he has even been to a show. So c'mon, show some freaking respect!!
