Do BCAAs lose effectiveness at high temps?
« on: April 23, 2008, 12:56:59 PM »

If I heat my BCAA products, will they still be effective?  Just wondering...

yes, they lose 100 percent of their potency anywhere past 68 degrees, it's best to use them in a cave or a meat locker.

there is no reason why they would. proteins degrade not amino acids

200 times better absorbtion than regular bcaa's if you throw em in a crock pot with some tabscoa and slow coook for 4 hours

I'm looking at becoming a dealer, um, 'distributor' ;), but want to change the form of delivery.  My whey protein cooks just fine, but I'm not certain about all the liquid stuff.

all joking aside most of the BCAA products you see out there they want you to swallow and chase with water, i use the MRM BCAA+G product and you have to put the powder in your mouth and then chase it with water.

Anything beyond a simple whey protein powder (or a meal replacement powder like MET-RX)
a multi vitamin /multi mineral
good quality food/meals (eaten every 3-4 hours)
is simply throwing money away (esp for the noncompetitive bodybuilder)
of course you can add a stimulant/fat burner as well

other than that.................... ........

Thanks, guys, and I agree, Arvilla, but there are tens of thousands of people who want a 'boost' in any form they can get it.

I can safely cook the liquid AAs to 200-225 degrees, but cannot find any information about what happens at 400-450 degrees.
