ARNOLD at his HEAVIEST
« on: April 24, 2008, 06:00:06 AM »
This thread is dedicated for pics, video, and discussion of Arnold at his heaviest weight. What year was it? Competition or guestposing?

There are plenty of studio shots and guestposing footage of Arnold at a massive weight, and I welcome all footage and discussion.

Here are some pictures taken by Christine Zane (courtesy Ironage forums), of Arnold guestposing in 1971. :O

There was a pic of him guestposing at 260 doing a most muscular from one of his later years, I guess pre-74 O where he looked freaky. Someone must dig it up.

Freaky, no?

You'll be blown away by these shots. Guestposing at Mr. Southern Hemisphere in Australia, 1974, as seen in Arnold 'The Early Years' DVD.

Excellent, though the lighting is pretty dramatic... did child-kamali handle the lights?

It's a shame he wasn't at this size when recording Pumping Iron.

In the part where he talks about cumming and he was wearing the yellow tank in front of the section mirror, i think he was just a few pds off from his heaviest. ....."all pumped up you know..."

I haven't seen some of these; they are really impressive.  Anyone got anymore '74 shots?  I imagine the man himself, along with George Butler and a few others have plenty of pics that very few people have seen.  I really feel like I missed a great period in history.

Nah, he's wearing different posing trunks there and the curtains are a different style.

Here's Oak from 1974 Olympia. Some say he was at his biggest here.

I think that at his heaviest he participated in a powerlifting contest, I don´t remember which year, but I saw a photo of him deadlifting 710 lbs, a pretty good weight for the seventies.

JaeJonna, do you have Arnold 'The Early Years' DVD? There's a part which shows Arnold posing outside in the blue trunks. It's just freaky to see.

Is this the shot you were referring to? :O

Those are from 1974 when he was 20 lbs heavier than 1975 (which was Pumping Iron). Remember how huge he looked in PI? Imagine if he'd been in his 1974 shape!  :o

Amazing.

Look at how small he makes Ferrigno look!!  :o

Destroys Cutler. No improvement in 34 years.

Great pics - Arnold's arms chest and calves were ridiculously good.
