BCAAs
« on: April 24, 2008, 10:24:49 PM »
Thinking of incorporating these into my routine, but not sure if the caps or powder is the way to go.

Was potentially thinking of trying the powder during workouts.  Anyone have any suggestions between the two, or possibly a good brand to use?

Caps or powder is almost the same, powder is potentially cheaper. (At least in europe)

aim for a 50, 25, 25 ratio for Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine.

I've been taking some powder form by Primaforce. A scoop gives four grammes, in the ratio that donkey says. i take one before and one after training (with a shake).

I'm using 4:1:1 or 6:1:1 ratio , like Poliquin recommends

I take optimum superior amino 2222 caps, high quality and good price.

note: you will require a pair of balls to be able swallow the huge caps, and cutting them in half makes it worse.

Caps are much easier for sure, but more bang for your buck powder is the way to go. Can you imagine having to swallow 15 caps in order to equal the same amount of powder? If you have no other choice, do what you gotta do, but I think powder is better here. All around better...probably cheaper but never looked into it.
