Bush Heckler Arrested After Punching Wheelchair-Bound Girl

A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents had told him to shut up, authorities said Wednesday.

German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.

They had been in the audience to hear the Bushes talk about their children's book, "Read All About It."

"He began yelling about Iraq and Iran at Jenna Bush. She was waving at the crowd. I told the guy, 'What are you doing? Shut up. This is about a child and books,' " said John Lovetro. "He was unperturbed. I said, 'Get out of here! You're being a moron!' "

The next thing he knew, Talis was allegedly punching Maureen, a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004.

2. FOX won't show the video of the assault itself, and witnesses on the ground are saying something entirely different.  I have a feeling fox news might not be so loud if video emerges, which matches the witness accounts, that he never punched the girl. 

hopefully some video will emerge proving it either way.  If he hit the girl, put him in jail.  If he didn't, FOX should STFU.

Any sort of unwanted touching is considered assault - even something as lame as flicking her forehead with his finger.

SURELY there is video of the event.  I mean, if there's video before and after the incident - and you HAVE to imagine that when some loon starts bitching about the war during an event like that, a few cameras zoom in on him.  I am also SURE that if there was a clip of the guy hitting the poor girl, FOX WOULD SHOW IT.

Instead, we see clips before and after, and another 8 hours of Rev Wright coverage today on FOX.  Geez.

The NY Post is facing a lawsuit after it brazenly smeared a 9/11 truth activist for attacking a wheelchair-bound woman in New York last night, when in fact it was the activist himself who was beaten up by the girl's father according to eyewitnesses.

In the most disgusting, inaccurate and bias hit piece we have seen to date, Post writer Philip Messing claims that 18-year-old Maureen Lovetro, who has cerebral palsy, was assaulted by We Are Change member German (Gary) Talis in an article entitled BUSH BASHER SMASHES DISABLED TEEN: COPS during an event attended by Laura and Jenna Bush.

The story even features photos of the wheelchair-bound Lovetro in a crass attempt to elicit more outrage towards Talis.

The libelous smear has also been picked up by Neo-con cheerleader Michelle Malkin on her Hot Air blog.

The fact that numerous eyewitnesses, who were ignored by New York police, assert that it was Talis himself who was the victim of an assault metered out by the girl's father - John Lovetro - leaves Talis with no option but to pursue a lawsuit against the New York Post

One side is the biggest fcking liar in history, and the biggest scumbag for either hurting the poor girl, or using her image for their political means.

I hope the video comes out and and shows one side to be completely right.  He is screaming his innocence from the rooftops, has witnesses to back it, and is dying for video to clear him.  The NYPD has video from before and after, but oddly cannot find any tape of DURING the assault.
