i would guess that Robbi did a very low amount of drugs throughout his career. he won his first national show july 19 1975. at the end of his career he didn't look much different. as bodybuilding became alot more influenced by drug intake, (evidenced by distended bellies and weird bodyparts), Robbi looked pretty much the same. they said his work ethic was unparrelled and he was never out of shape over30+ years. one of the top bodybuilders of all time. i would say the same thing about Vince Taylor.

Agreed. I think he has one of those receptor systmes that are ultra-receptive to aas and thus he didn't have to do very much...

There was a thread on the message board he had that showed the drug cycle Chad Nicholls had him do. He was complaining that, "that was way too much for an old man to take". I'd love to see it and tried to find it a few times fro various sites with no success. He did look good when Trevor Smith traind him though.

Robby used to be the man. I also remember reading (no idea if it's true) that he was in vietnam and was in a firefight that they lost and he had to pretend he was dead and they stuck him in the leg with a bayonet to see if he was still alive.

i read that also. didn;t he say a bullet grazed his face and he was covered in blood and a dead soldier fell on top of him?

i was there too. I remember seeing Ferrigno after the show in the lobby..he was really upset. When people came up to him for pictures, his wife had to deal with a lot of them, because he was too upset to even talk to most of them.

Wouldnt surprise me, lou will be remembered forever as the guy who lost olympia against arnold and ended selling photos for 10 bucks? But not as the good bodybuilder he was once. Sad.
