I wonder why both Nasser and King were unable to continue to improve as they aged, unlike most bodybuilders who do seem to continue to improve until their late thirties.

Imo KK was always a nobody with a muscular mouth.

Nasser is remarkable in just how badly he declined and in general consistency (or lack of). At his peak he was amazing. The candle just didn't burn long enough.

Perhaps true on Kamali. He did place 10th at the 2001 Mr. Olympia, but I tend to side with Shawn Ray that King may have been a place or three too high:

Still, being a definite top 15 in the world at your best as a bodybuilder is a great achievement no doubt. 2001 was a pretty competitive year also. Obviously King was never on Nasser's level, but they both suffered from the same inability to continue to improve with age, as most bodybuilders do. I would really like to know why. Lack of being able to afford as many drugs perhaps? I just don't see why any 36 year old should be SEVEN YEARS past his prime as a bodybuilder. Nasser's physique degradation also makes no sense to me.

Holy guacamole these guys look truly amazing! Great example of Arab genetics (although Shari would consider himself Persian).

I bet a great many women would just love to be on the back, holding on to Nasser's huge back!
