A game isn't overrated when 95% of people who play it like it. I find the people who don't like it generally don't like anything because they are never satisfied.

i say the opposite is true, it's a game for the masses.

the same type of people that only see blockbuster movies and buy records that are on top of the charts.

apparantely you fit in this catagory of people. along with your van halen records and britney spears albums.

Got my copy last weekend for PS3 and it's pretty good. Am only 30% into it with so many more side things to complete. Can only play for 2 hours max at a time as its so dark and starts to give me a headache...but otherwise its pretty awesome...worth updating to xbox360 or PS3; strictly for this game? I say no

The five people I know personally who have it, but say it should not have gotten the perfect reviews that we've seen on the major gaming sites.  One said after about 30 minutes it's basically a nicer looking San Andraes.

I'll get it this weekend and see for myself.

I think so.

I loved III and VC, but, in the middle of SA, I ended up getting the original XBox and Halo took over my gaming world.  I tried a few times to get back into it, but it didn't work.  The storyline was fun, but I was getting sick of driving through the countryside.  It was too damn big.

I was disappointed with the game at first. I'm starting to come around I guess. They removed: car mods, interaction with pedestrians, the gym, learning fight styles, tattoos, barbershops, etc. The police missions are good. The whole internet thing is a waste, the cabaret acts are mostly bad, and I'm not going to watch any tv in it. Great physics engine, improved sound effects, poor control, dark unimaginative colors.

Anyone else notice how Brucie is a Scott Alexander clone? GH / bullshark test, japanese tattoos, a No1 racing mission named after Scott's tattoo/ philosophy, claims to be a pussy wrecking machine, botox injections, same face, pure white teeth, sports cars and high energy.

If you get a chance, google "The Force Unleashed" and "Pysics" and watch the trailer of how they combine 3 engines into one game.  It looks sick.

I ended up with Rock Band this weekend instead of GTA.  It's insanely fun, but I don't think it's anything I'll play solo.  I need to get GTA in the next few days.
