I've played it now, maybe a total of 4 hours.

Good game. Agree on being too dark when the charecter is in the shade, sometimes I cant even see where I'm going. Good story, but the driving around gets lame fast.

The Jamaican Patois was a good laugh.

Uhhhh...you know you can adjust the brightness and colors under "display" when the game is paused.

If the driving around bothers you, use taxis.  Personally,  i love the driving, it goes from motorcycles, which are nimble but fragile, to mushy handling muscle cars, to vans, to sport cars, to semi trucks that you can plow your way through the street.

And yes, adjust your settings, it gets much brighter.

i'm driving more and more. i love the taxi's but once i got the drifting down to a degree i'm cool w/ it

Although I've completed the game, it's one of those you can never get bored playing over and over. When the urge hits me to shoot pedestrians, blow shit up, and have pigs chase me, I just pop that game in!  8)

Yeah I know, but I have a new 42" lcd tv and havent been able to find a really good setting for it yet, Im still looking around the net for the best result.

Stay out of Hove Beach and you'll find zero light issues. It's dark as fuck there.

i got it friday night. nearly done...tho i have been off uni and work so i can play it for a while...tho i am a gta fiend.

was slightly disappointed at first though after the first few missions it gets awesome....story excellent soa re characters...sum bits of NY look photo realistic. great game. water rain looks awesome. i like teh irish guys cos they always talk about belfast and the troubles. some missions are tricky though.,...harder than san andreas which i guess is a good thing...tho frustrating a bit lol

overall awesome. better than san andreas...i think SA as so good as it improved so much from vice city...this has improved a lot tho maybe not as much as VC to SA.

also cars are harder to drive. better imo and bullet holes in buuildings cars stay etc...easier to die and get killed.,
