The best is that Tony Stark is an alcoholic in the comic...Morton Down in real life...well, you know....

Again from what ive seen Downey has Stark off well - even when hes creating the suit hes got a cocktail mixer in his hand.

I'm sure most super heroes are wasted half the time. Comic books just show the "sanitised" version.  ::)

Jon Favreau, the producer and director...is a big comix fan, so, also being a Marvel prod., should be very close to the original, like all the Marvel Movies

It was definitely inspired casting to put Downey in the role.  His life has quite a few similarities to Tony Stark's actually.  I think since the casting of Tobey Maguire in Spiderman, hollywood realized they could start casting smaller actors with more acting chops instead of just guys that look the part physically.  Bale is also owning the part of Batman like nobody has before.  I thought Bana was fine as Banner but Norton is an interesting choice.  I'm looking forward to who they'll choose for the Flash, Captain America, and Thor.  Looking forward to this film for sure.

Saw it at a screening Tuesday night and won an Ironman blaster gun in a pushup contest but that is another story.

The movie ROCKS and in my opinion is the best superhero adaptation for film since Superman 1 and 2.

Lots of great tension, an interesting leadup until Downey becomes Ironman. I was very impressed.

The Grove in L.A. is having six preview showings today.   I have tickets for 8:30.

I was very surprised that Robert got the role. He has never anchored a big bidget block buster before.

The reviews all say the same thing-Downey kicks major ass and really carries the film.

I say it will gross over $100 million this weekend-Fri to Sun.
