yes.....immidietly before, after working is when you would have the least probablity of storing fat, and probably benefit from all the junk a little bit (in terms of growth)

I fully agrre on eating junk immediately after training, actualy our body need to creat pikes of insulin in order to transport aminos to the cells. I see a  lot of guys taking protein shakes with water after training, but that will do ZERO to your muscles because a minimum percentage of protein will be absorved and only as ENERGY resource and not as a muscle builder.

thats not true. when insulin is low, igf-1 is elevated,,, so amino's enter the muscle regardless.

but you are right about whey+ water being less than ideal... you should use fats if your not going to use carbs.

dude i'm a raving lunatic after a workout..I'll eat anything in reach! I've been packing NITREAN shakes to take immediately after the gym on the way out hte door because I'm told that there's a 15 minute window that your body uses intake the BEST..and then it tapers off after an hour or so. That way with the protien I'm not full and will put the food down immediately!

I feal i look the same when im smoking or not.... Ive smoked on and of for a few years, if anything mite be a hair larger while smoking due to munchies but its harder to stay away from the junk... so the extra 3-5 pounds  isnt by any means quality muscle...
