Seriously need your help fellas...

This is my problem.

The Finance company i work with just purchased a new property and the building will be finished in a month or so. The employees in my department as well as two other departments will be transferring to the new building, it is two stories with four restrooms all are singles (one toilet) two per floor, so its basically a private restroom. Here is my dilemma, the company is making two of the restrooms for females and the other two unisex, there will be no male only restrooms. When i heard about this i got pissed, they are also trying to keep this info private until we make the move. I dont want to share a restroom with  female coworkers. The number of females greatly out number the males, however it just isnt right, females take forever in the restrooms. Am i over reacting? will it not be as bad as i think its going to be? Oh i already called the state office for civil liberties and they said it isnt discrimination.  Please help. i know if the table were turned the female in charge of the opporation would not be as adamant on having two male restrooms and two unisex restrooms....

I'm surprised the women arent screaming about this.

ATHEIST, you say that the number of females greatly outnumber the males.  Maybe that is why corporate plans to designate the bathrooms as they are?  In any case it seems that all the bathrooms could be unisex.

I would just consider any open bathroom is available to anyone...even if they sign says "women."    Certainly no one wants you to stand in line in the hall with a turtle head.

If they are all single bathrooms then why not just make them all unisex?  If you are going to be alone in there then who cares?

This is an easy one.


Take loud, graphic dumps.  Walk around with your junk out in the bathroom.  Walk in unannounced and catch a few in the act.  maybe even crank one out on the clock and get caught doing it.  make the women uncomfortable.

better yet - get some of that skunk spray.  very effective.

i was thinking about taking all the toilet paper out of the restroom a few times a day, i hate that it has to come to this, or hell just remover the toilet seat all together, be kind of hard to hide that in my pants though

Good luck with this one.  Unisex bathrooms are coming to a business near you.  They have been trying to push a "gender identity" bill through the legislature for the past several years that will prohibit discrimination in employment on the basis of a person's actual or perceived gender identity and/or expression.

thats what i was thinking, but the person in charge of the operation doesnt see that, i feel this is an injustice and am doing my best not to retaliate in some way.

i used to work at a gym in college and would have to check both restrooms, i was surprised at how dirty the women's was. not saying thats how all women are, just my experience.

i have no problem with the unisex if it has to be that way, but why do the women get their own restrooms? I mean there are four total restrooms why cant they just make one a mens?

yes i did, they said its not discrimination because the men have access to the unisex restroom. its just not right. i know if the tables were turned and there were only four of five females and thirty males, management would make it a priority to give the minority their own restrooms.

Is this something an investigator told you over the phone (i.e., not discrimination)? 

It does sound unfair to me. 

You know, now that I think about it, I have to share my bathroom with a woman at home (my wife).  I should lobby for my own bathroom. . . .
