You can say what you want about Bob Chic, but the guy has his shit together.
Most pro bodybuilders, really have nothing to fall back on.I know atleast a dozen retired pro bodbuilders who have nothing.They work as a trainer, or some average paying.With nothing to show for all there hard work and steroid use.
Bob on the other hand , has been in movies, has a great contract with the #1 bodybuilding supplement site in the world, he is a great spokes person for bodybuilding, and he is now the athletes rep.
The guy makes a good living, has a family,and is a honest straight up guy.
There are alot of bodybuilders who are scumm bags, they sell juice, or bogus juice, they have recreational drug issues,or the are convicted felons.
Bob on the other hand, has marketed himself ,as an athlete and a person.
Knock the guy all you want, atleast he is succesful, and a productive citizen in society.

All true.

I swear that all the pros we have dealt with, save for Gunther S., have been nothing but unprofessional and a whole lot of trouble that has not been worth the bother.

It'd be nothing but a boon to bb if someone the ilk of Bob C was named Mr. Olympia.

The only other guy I see who has all the bases covered (not saying others are necessarily bad) and could be a great spokesman as Mr. O would be Dugdale.

Never met Bob, but talk around Venice was that he was always trying to 'fit in' with the 'it' crowd.

Bob felt that he never really 'belonged' and desperately wanted to be part of the 'cool' group.

Apparently Bob was just a wannabee, never really did he fit in.

Thats a good one, especially given the fact that I never go to bars, party, or cared to be in any "group"....just who do you believe to have been the "cool group" anyway?

Exactly! I think part of the resentment towards Bob is just plain jealousy. They guy can deal with the corperate world and unlike a lot of the meatheads can complete a full sentence

Whats funny, Howie....is that I seem to get blamed for everything done/ not done in the IFBB...lol...I don't run the IFBB, theres only so much I can do without any kind of back up or union, etc....

I think things have progressed very well in the last few years since we were given a voice, and the IFBB has been very receptive to my proposals, as I have gotten more passed than not. More money to athletes, available group health coverage, judging changes, etc....

I think the overall quality of the lineups and the shows are better now than 10 yrs ago and I have gone to more pro events as result, etc ( woah some bad typos in my last post, yikes. My typing sucks LOL)

I still think some pro events need to get the ticket sales out earlier and recruit more vendors, etc.
