Boy, Nimrod's bodybuilding career, as a pro, didn't last long, did it? He was the first pro-level guy I ever laid eyes on in real life. I was shocked, to say the least. I even bought a shirt from him that read "...and on the eighth day god created Nimrod."  :D

If someone got stuck with the unfortunate name of "Nimrod", why wouldn't he just go by "Rod" or something?  Everyone would assume it was short for "Rodney".

That's why he promoted shows, and committed the fraud, ripping off Art Atwood and a few others (I want to say Darrem, but I think that was another show in Florida?) along the way.
He (maybe he is just the best known of the promoters) is the reason there is no Toronto Pro, and all contest promoters have to have all the money ahead of time in an account with no attachment to any of the promoters.
