OIL hits $126! New records almost every day this week.
« on: May 09, 2008, 08:16:16 AM »

Driven by surging demand and continuing supply concerns, US light crude reached $125.98 by early afternoon in Europe, up $2.29 from Thursday's close.

Meanwhile, London's Brent crude was also at a fresh high of $125.68.

Earlier this week, a report by Goldman Sachs said the price of crude oil could reach $200 a barrel in as little as six months, as supplies tighten.

Despite the continuing rises in oil prices, producers group Opec reiterated its view on Thursday that supplies were adequate for the time being.

However, it has also said that $200 a barrel was a possibility in the future.

19.95  on a google search.   Turns out the hydrogen is naturally compressed in the water making it a safe process.    More engine exhausting water cant be a bad thing....

However it requires about 12amps to charge the water to seperate the hydrogen...some say this counteracts the fuel mileage gain of up to 50%.

It also significantly reduces the power of the engine. Many of my colleagues have tried it.
It cost them about $1K, and they lost significant power to the engine. It will be a long while before they break even.

Wow... That's a pretty expensive mason jar, your buddies must be complete assclowns ::)

The fact is the power loss probably isn't much less than buying an economy hybred and for people who have a mundane daily highway drive to work and back, who gives a shit ::) plus, you can just switch it off anytime you want!  Wait until you're on the highway and flip the switch.  None of this should cost anyone over 50 bucks total.

First Test: 48mpg 70mph on the highway.  He forgot to install a moisture trap so he built one.  You can just buy them cheap as hell so no need to build a moisture trap.  Once the mosture trap was installed, he got it into the 60mpg range.

(ignore the urls, you don't need to buy this, it's a simple DIY)

This guy make a cool little variation here where the HHO gas goes into a secondary chamber, the hydrogen rises above the oxygen so he is able to seperate out the O and just feed Hydrogen into the engine.  He's running only on Hyrdogen, NO GAS!  and he's been going at the time of this video for 4 years.  Plenty of power to get around just fine!

anyway, this is really simple to build by yourself, a few bucks spent at home depot, no need to pay someone else unless you're lazy It doesn't cost 1000 bucks like Jag said.

Good info Hugo.   I might try this and let the board know if it works.    I think the challenge is for someone to get mostly the hydrogen into the cylinder...the explosion on the power stroke could be many times the potential of gasoline...meaning more power.

But like you said, as long as we can get around at the speed limit then why need more power anyway?...Just flip the switch.

Jag, your friends must have gotten the early prototypes hence the cost.  Its dropped now and can be found on google easily.

Crude oil prices have hit yet another all-time high in New York, tipping beyond $126 a barrel.

Driven by surging demand and continuing supply fears, US light crude hit $126.20 in afternoon trade in New York, before falling to $124.78 a barrel.

The funny thing is that all you need is a statement from the US government saying that it will from then on start funding alternative energies and watch what happens to the price of oil. The main problem is that Big Oil has taken over the government, literally, and they ain't in the business of giving up huge profits, even though only but a handful benefit from them, and 99.95% of Americans would benefit from a switch in energy funding.

Kinda puts things in prospective.

They're not assclowns, they're truckers who've probably forgotten more about getting better mileage than you'll ever know.  >:(
