I disagree. I think he did bring it one year but was VERY, VERY unlucky as he ran into none other than Bob Paris.

If you caught Rory on NBR ( they have fantastic guests ) you heard him say a producer paid $35,000 to the NPC ( The Beef thinks it was NPC ) to deal with legal costs incurred in a suit and in exchange they gave Bob the win.

Rory was not that hard from the back that year.

Bob Paris deserved the win but it was close. If you look at the pics it was natural structure that gives it to Bob. His waist is smaller yet his shoulders are also wider than Rory's. They were close but Bob's natural structure put him ahead of Rory.

I didn't hear the story though; are you saying that the promoter paid $35K because Bob won or that he had to pay that AND give Bob the victory? For what reason?

Rory talked ALL KINDS of bullshit excuses during that interview.

All Rory did was rag on how everyone was gifted their titles while he was screwed. He came across like a little whiny bitch.

Rory never won a national show because he never came in his best condition-not even 83 against Bob Paris.

Rory said in the interview Bob told him before the contest that a promoter that he was involved with paid to insure teh victory. Yes, Bob was in shape and the win was a good one.

Yes Rory did lack conditioning and he was saying soem crazy things. I like the one about Matt Mendenhall being on the lamb to avoid child molestation ( or porn The Beef forgets) charges.

More of RL bullshit-calling someone a child molester-he is lucky he is not being sued for defamation.

Reminds me of the first time I hit Gold's Venice (82), right after Mike Christian won the Cal, and Mike was in there doing 405# reps on inclines (as was his partner), and then they went to BP and hit 495# reps. I was like WTF is in the water at this place  ;D
