MySpace Wins $234 Mil Antispam Judgment: Report
Sue Chang

SAN FRANCISCO -- MySpace.com won a $234 million judgment over junk messages sent to its members, in what may be the largest award under the 2003 federal antispamming law known as Can-Spam, the Associated Press reported late Tuesday. The ruling was against Sanford Wallace and Walter Rines, two prominent spam defendants, the news agency said. MySpace is owned by News Corp. , which also owns The Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch, the publisher of this report.

Now is myspace going to keep the $234 million for itself, ...or share it with those who got the junk mail?.

I suspect they are so upset about the spam for the same reason AOL was upset about the spam, ...they probably want to be the only ones who market to MySpace users. But that's just my opinion.
