98% of us are not.
2% of us are.

Now, 30% of people falsely believe they fall into that 2% category, or will shortly.

You know, the neocon overspenders who vocally support Bush but are about to lose their home and their business is failing and thei 401k is shitting.

Yes.  Aren't you?

Umm,  yes and no.

I'm better off financially/career wise by far.  But that's not because of anything the government has or hasn't done.

But as a nation, ("we"), we are not.  We are not safer, our economy is weaker, prices are higher.

I can't speak for you, but I'm better off in part because the government hasn't raised my taxes.

As a nation, we have a mortgage and gas crisis, but I can't say we're not better off.  I haven't looked at employment numbers, levels of income, level of education, new businesses, etc.  Have you?

our borders are just as wide open in 2008 as they were in 2001.

al quida is way bigger today than it's ever been.

national debt went from 4.5 tril in 2001..... to 9 trillion in 2008.

Gas has tripled in 6 years.

World hates us, and they're dropping the dollar to prove it.

Everyone knows taxes rule the economy.  Tax cuts double tax revenue.

President Bush has cut taxes.

Boy is it easy to make you nay-sayers look foolish.

Socialists like Hussein Osama will raise taxes and destroy our prosperity.

Sorry I had to do that to you 240.

But facts is facts.

I have looked into it becuase of newsletters i  write for a company i do consulting for.  Unemployment is higher  There were a million more people looking for jobs in December than the previous December, for example.
Levels of income are relative to prices in the area you live in, I would say it's getting worse with the price of gas as it's affecting everything.  China's surge in economic growth has much to do with that.  the dollar is horrible.  There will be upwards of 2-million forecloses coming to their end in about 3-4 months.

As far as new business or the closing of family own businesses, i don;t know much about, other other than  the disappearance of main street America.

You compared unemployment before Bush to today?

I haven't checked, but I would imagine income has gone up across the board the past eight years.

Same for education.  We probably have more college and trade school graduates today than eight years ago.

Even with the foreclosure crisis, I wonder if there are still more homeowner today than eight years ago?  I don't know.

I think there probably are more businesses today than eight years ago.

The answers to many of your questions are probably in the affirmative b/c of population growth.

I guess that's possible, but there are also more opportunities.

Thanks for the link.  That's actually not that bad.  Looks like there has been small, steady increase over the past eight years, but there has been good job growth.  We've been under 5 percent for most of the past eight years here.

Don't even get me started.  Terrible.  I'm counting the days to summer so I can take the bus to work.  I'm afraid I might go postal on one of those gas pumps.  I have to fill up tomorrow.  Seventy freakin dollars.  >:(

Crazy huh?   $100+ for 350 miles on my Escalade.  So i bought a another car.  About $60 for $400 or so miles, I'm not sure cause i just got it last week.  So i'll be profiting about $250-$300 extra dollars a month that can be used for Poker-ing pleasure  ;D or what ever else comes along  heheheh.

Oddly enough 1% is alot of people as far as unemployment goes.  I know this gal i talk to all the time in Ohio who feels trapped at her administrative job becuase she says there are "No Jobs" at her pay level..... and she hates the work environment she's in.

You got rid of the Escalator (as my little one called it)?  My kids love that SUV.  And here I've been campaigning for an SUV for a few years now.  I should buy one of those hybrids, but I have too many bodies in my house and they have too many friends for me to chauffer around.  I've been threatening to buy a minivan and pimp it out.  One of my employees said I should get a license plate that says "PMPWGN."  I like it.   :)  My son has threatened to disown me if I do.   :)

It's not just gas, but airfare.  The price from here to California has doubled since the start of the year.

Too bad about your friend.

Berserker posted something that showed the NIE report stats... Dems ran with it in congress... repubs downplayed it... showed that worldwide, attacks are up, numbers of jihadists are up.

I don't know what's "down".  I guess you haven't had another 911, but then again we all know 911 stinks to high heaven.
