Moosjay, what is the 'real' reason why you never married?
« on: May 18, 2008, 06:19:17 PM »
Moosejay, you have chosen to be single and  never marry. Are you  commitment phobic or do you just genuinely prefer to indulge in multiple relationships?

Moose, do you believe in monogamy?

Do you miss having that one special person you can share your life with?  Someone who can comfort you when you are sick.  Someone who will love and support you unconditionally through the good and the bad times?

Moose, do you fear growing old and lonely?

Look, i understand that there are benefits to leading a purely selfish single life.  I imagine it has its positives; like not being as expensive.  But surely companionship should not come with a price tag attached?

Hope your feeling better after your stay in hospital.

Moose, i just sense a loneliness and emptiness in your posts.

I was wondering, if you had a wife who loved and cared for you, would you still feel the need to seek approval through this board?

I mean, when you were lying in that hospital bed with only your laptop for company, maybe if you had a loving wife at your side, the recuperation process would have been less painful?

My fear is, Moose will die a sick and lonely old man.  He doesn't have a wife.  He doesn't have a family.

Fair enough, Moose made the decision to live a self centered life.  He chose the selfish path of solitude.

I just think his life would have had more meaning if he had a wife.

Thanks for your kind comments and wishes.

Hank, that can all be had without marrying.

Commitment to businesses would make the coefficient to divoirce very likely....100 hour workweeks with no vacations for over 18 years.

You see more and more who are married yet not honorable.

CT Governor(cheat)
RI Governor(Cheat)
NJ Governor (gay-cheat)
NY Governor (Cheat cheat cheat)
Cali Governor (Nuff said there)

Just some examples.

So...the institution of marriage is in ver much disarray, IMO.

My mom and dad married still for 47th year.

Last of a dying breed.

I guess, Hank, one of my reasons is there is too much for me to lose.

I have a very full life.

I am happy helping hundreds of people.

Mike

I get the same feeling of despairing solitude trying to justify itself from his posts. Very tragic.

That's what you expect a 20-year-old to say, not a 40-something.   Is your "girlfriend's" name Sasha?

Your not very worldly, are you?

You're not very heterosexual, are you?  ::)

I am.

I don't know what 20 year olds say...don't hang with them,,,and generally don't go below the age of 35 for women I go out with...spare the drama that comes with them.

Moose, we live in a conservative society, where conventions dictate normality.

I suppose when you present as a '40 something year old man' without a wife or children, people will ask questions.

It is your choice to choose a life without a wife but don't get defensive when your motives are brought into play.

Bottom line, the perception is; if you don't have a wife and family by the time you are forty you are either gay, incredibly-selfish or women think you so annoying they couldn't bear to spend a life with you!

Just my opinion, not hating!

Self absorbed.

I don't know your age...don't care.

Most guys my age are divorced or want to be.

THAT is the reality.

Since my professional and entrepreneurial paths have been so all-encompassing and time consuming, THEY are my wives.

Really not hard to understand.

In the successful world, many are like me.

And it is not perception, it is interpretation...there is a difference.

And one does not always 'choose' a life path.

It often takes on a life of its own, the way it should, without design.

Design=the breeding ground of tragedy for the moosejays of the world.

I was just prescient enough to to positrack myself from the get go.

I have wasted no time in my life.

Marriage.

Why do something everyone can and likely will do?

Anyway, what does any of this matter.

I am merely here to banter and to disseminate info.

Nothing more, nothing less.
