Moose, we live in a conservative society, where conventions dictate normality.

I suppose when you present as a '40 something year old man' without a wife or children, people will ask questions.

It is your choice to choose a life without a wife but don't get defensive when your motives are brought into play.

Bottom line, the perception is; if you don't have a wife and family by the time you are forty you are either gay, incredibly-selfish or women think you so annoying they couldn't bear to spend a life with you!

Just my opinion, not hating!

Sort of like when a guy bamed Sean Irving Rey, who is 42, and still dating a tranny, right Sean!

I get the same feeling of despairing solitude trying to justify itself from his posts. Very tragic.

Oh...so you get 'feelings' do you......Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Every woman I go out with ends up yelling...

"I can't take this any longer..."

Or words to that dramatic effect...

Work comes first.

We can be dining in a lavish restaurant...and all they do is complain about how much I am on projects...then I ask them..."how do you like your steak...is it good?"

"yes, Michael, it is roasted to perfection..."

"Well, "I counter,"How in Hell do you think I am going to pay for that?"

And, shortly thereafter, they are history.

Moose, your post reveals that you have thought much about marriage and its implications.

Your posts also indicate a man lost in confusion who harbours much animosity towards women; and their role in society as a functional and necessary unit.

Moose, when you are lying in on your death bed with no wife or children to comfort you, only then will you fully understand my argument!

Peace and continue to enjoy the meaninglessness of making lots of money while forfeiting true happiness; that is a wife and children.

This thread is strange. It's not bad. It's not good. It's simply strange. Carry on.

Disagree, respectfully...to say one is incomplete because they vary from YOUR path...kinda Hitleresque of you.

And I am not so arrogant that I think it necessary that I procreate and make more of 'me' to carry on.

Most of you here would envy my life on its exterior.

It'd likely include many things you'd only dream of doing and having.

In it...it is not that fabulous.

But I will take it :)

Are they disappointed in your inability to find a wife?  Do they question your sexuality and your strange interest in men in thongs?

They are quite proud of my achievements and are the envy of all in their circle.

Mom used to bug me, not anymore...they have enough grandkids.

Seriously, you never answered the question:   Does your unclear sexual preference and your strange facination with a sport that involves young men in thongs disappoint your parents, especially with you being 40 and never married?

I don't have unclear preference

I am a bb, you are not

I am 44

My parents wish I would slow down, say I have enough success.

It is never enough!!!

Viva success (I have to compensate for all the slackers that...well...you know where I am going with that, GB ;D)

Moose, you define success through materialism...how empty!

Moose, you live your life through your businesses and your eternal pursuit of vanity....how pitiful!

You never speak of the value of emotional success, the success of raising a loving family.  The success of maintaining a true and meaningful relationship with a wife.

Moose, you are pursuing hollow and meaningless dreams.  I just thought you would have worked that out by now...that's all!

Such a sad lonely life the Moose leads.  And he justifies it by acting as if his lame-ass chiropractic office is some great achievement.

Maybe Bay can show him the way to happiness.  Or at least prevent him from corrupting his poor nephew.

Moose, I just thought that by your age you would have worked out that happiness is not defined by the businesses you run nor the money you have hoarded.

I suppose i am just surprised that you still base happiness on the physical constructs that define our artificial world.

After all of your health issues and flirting with death, i just imagined you would have learnt this lesson by now; happiness in a state of mind and not the state of your bank account!

Oh well, continue to make lots more money and when you are lying in that cold empty palace of yours waiting to die , only then will you realise that materialism could never provide the substitute for a loving family!

Moose, i just sense a loneliness and emptiness in your posts.

I was wondering, if you had a wife who loved and cared for you, would you still feel the need to seek approval through this board?

I mean, when you were lying in that hospital bed with only your laptop for company, maybe if you had a loving wife at your side, the recuperation process would have been less painful?

Hank are you playing with yourself while typing or is your boyfriend doing it for you.

It's actually your genes or DNA that are using your body merely as a vehicle to pass itself into the next body. Genes are compete with other genes for survival. All that genes care about is that you pass them into the next body or vehicle, they don't care what happens to you after this fact. This is why the human body goes into a decline starting at around the cessation of puberty, as it is presumed that you would have had children by then.

Your DNA contains genes which are shared with many other animals. These are the genes that have survived and have been passed from animal to animal as evolution has taken place.

Humans are unique in that they are the first animals that are potentially aware of this fact and can short circuit the intentions of the genes. All other animals run on instinct and have a primary drive to procreate as early as they physically can.

Think of your genes/DNA as like a virus that has taken itself to the next level.

The Dalai Lama must be unhappy as he is not married nor has children.
