Props to Special Ed.
« on: May 20, 2008, 12:57:15 AM »
Like it or not, this is the only show in the "industry" where a host has the skills to make pros like Coleman, Dillet, Levrone, Kamali, Arntz,  Priest etc spill their guts out and telling it like it is, not to mention David Jacobs who, like him or not also called it like it is as well under Special Ed's information seeking.

Maybe this is the way to change bodybuilding; less nut hugging and more honesty.

I raise my glass to a true american bodybuilding Fan with interview skills and no industry boundaries.

I give my props to Jay as well, he's done an awesome job with that show and ask better questions than any other bb show radio host out there.

Great job special slayer!

Ed's show definitely has an edge.  I wasn't sure if it would materialize into something or not, and it has (although Jews do have a way with being successful in media).

Is Ed related to HOWARD Stern?  ???

Ed is a very good radio host. If I am being honest I have no clue what Blockhead is doing on there, he is a good writer, but not so good on the radio. It's like Howard Stern doing a show with some local hack disc jockey, just makes no sense to me. Good show though.

Big nation is hit or miss...  some shows are excellent, some are total crap.  The whole production is way less polished than PBW or even MD, and has the feel of some guy doing a show from his basement.  But you tend to overlook that when they have a really good interview going.

I think the "in the basment" sound is part of the while BNR mystique and "schtick".
A bunch of muscleheads carrying on and telling it like it is.

haha.  I've only listened to a few of the shows, they've been pretty good.  They sound sometimes like Wayne's World, but hey, like you said, that gives it a "maverick" character.

I think it's not so much that BH sucks, it's that you  CAN'T FUCKING HEAR HIM.

Funny stuff on that show. One thing to remember: don't call in from your girlfriends house unless she has caller ID blocked.  ;)

I think they should get more getbiggers to call in, this week there were none.
Also the show is not guest dependant, ED and BLOCK are really the main attraction for the show because they're entertaining and make for a funny pair of coconuts....

One thing for sure BigNationRadio will always be famous and remembered for taking out the saddest person on the internet-Squadfather with his 60,000 posts through mirz sarcasm and squadfather and 50 gimmicks with shared passwords he lived his life on here.

To drop off the board after the threat of him being revealed to his "fiancee and her momma was just toooo much.

I know BNR didn't plan it that but it worked out very well.
