Laura, my father just had that done, he had no problems. He had the shock treatment to see if they could "flip" it, that didn't work, and then he took these meds where he had to stay in the hospital in case he went into a-fib, neither worked for longer than a month, so they went in and burned his heart. His heart I guess would go in and out of rhythm, he never knew it was happening, it was caught on a life insurance exam, and it even when in and out on the same day!

Hi Flower. Yeah, I had been scheduled for the cardioversion (shocking of the heart) over a month ago, but while prepped for it my heart wasn't in a-fib so they decided not to do it. I have been on a couple different heart medications (beta-blockers) but they weren't working even when maxed out so they decided this was the only option I had left, otherwise I am in a high risk for having a stroke.

Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be able to move my legs and walk around. lol And by this time next week feeling like my old self again.
