I'm not a fan of shellfish though. On closer inspection, seems like there's some shellfish in there too.

I would throw up and then call Gordon Ramsey from hells kitchen and fly him in to give this resterant a serious tune up. That concoction looks like what it should look like when it comes out the other end.

Maybe I would eat the broth and the mussells but not the squid/oct legs.

squid/octupus = great eating.
sliced squid heads are good but the legs are just too freaky to eat

In my country thats called "sopa marinera" but ours got a bigger variety of seafood such as:

Choritos (Mytilus Chilenis)
Almejas (Chilean Littleneck - Venus Antiqua)
Jaiba (Cancer spp)
Congrio dorado (Genypterus blacodes)
Ostion (Argopecten purpuratus)
Gambas (Parapenaeus longirostris)

Thats the base, but some people might add more seafood, pretty good during winter, the soup is killer! Like, you eat this + white wine and you go to sleep like a baby

Not the brains!! The outside head part that they cut into rubber band type circles!

This is actually stuffed w/quinoa etc. (those aren't brains) but the outside head part is the part that is good when grilled (the legs make that picture look gross imo).

The bottom pic is fried calamari

I'd eat it, but then again I love any and all kinds of seafood.

Anyone here ever had veal sweetbreads?  I ate some a while back at a fancy restaurant and loved 'em...until I found out what they really are. :o

You would only be served that if you ordered it; I would not order it.

The more tricky situation is being served something like that that in a different setting, say, at a dinner party where you did not specifically order the food being served but are expected to be a good guest and eat it anyway.  :-X

Squid is good eatin'.  Used to eat a seafood risotto that my landlord, a restauranteur, made in his restaurant and it was filled with squid and octopus.  It was delicious!

Hate mussels. SOmetimes there's something gritty in there and it feels like you're eating dirt.

Took me a while to get used to mussels. Something about the texture reminded me of female anatomical parts.
That took me a while to get over.  :-X
