Why did Putnam get a flex cover?

What warranted a prestigious Flex Cover shot?

The guy isn't a pro.....he is very short.....nothing freaky about him........Not exactly destined to be an Olympia or arnold Champ?
In my opinion he isn't the sort of bodybuilder that magazines should be pushing.
He looks good but his height and frame hardly scream potential

He's marketable and his look appeals to many people.  BBing would be bigger if they put more amateurs on covers instead of bloated pros.

He was predicted to win his weight class but Dixon won instead. Will get it this year I'm sure unless he looks like sh*t.

Should have used his wife instead for cover,way more potential looking at that.He won't recover from the Milos Flu.

He has undoubtedly worked very hard to obtain the physique that he has and he's a nice guy in person.  Peter is a friend of mine and his personality along with the kind of build that I would imagine less than 10 percent of getbiggers have obtained got him the Flex cover.

Why? Flex obviously caters to the gay men.....if it were a straight man's mag, then, you'd see her on the cover.
