I have never been anywhere near competition lean and to be honest I dont think that I can diet for 4 months. Would it be a good idea to get at lean as possible now, try to maintain that..and then make tweaks in the final weeks?

based on the past competition it seems that conditioning will be crucial, with that in mind it might be best to start focusing on that now.
