And I agree with Chem's statement...I loom at my trophies and think of my experiences I had.

They are kept at my parent's home....my father likes to polish them and think back to all the shows he went to to see me compete.

When Zane received a Arnold Lifetime Achievement Award at the classica few years ago, he ate his meal off the crystal plate award several hours after getting it.

One can assume that after a few years of "been there, done that", the trophies lose a bit of their worth, but then again, for some they still may have some nostalgic value.

Very true...the first that you win are always a major triumph...then you just want to measure against yourself....and only a very small 'trophy' is needed.

Zane said it best whjen he won the Mr. Universe in Belgium...his trophy was 250 pounds....metaphor for his ego outstripping his actual endeavor (I think he said he only took the top piece from the trophy home with him).....He called it "Muscle as emotional armor..."
