I gained 33 in a week...in 1985, at 21 yrs., I dropped over 8 months from 231 to 175 for comp., a 56 pound loss...so my body was starving for and held onto every calorie I consumed.

I remember I held so much water that the skin on my legs felt like it was gonna tear!

In 82 Haney won and it was the Nationals that year-because the NPC was barred from using the Mr A name (from a court case with the AAU who won), the AAU promptly fucked it up and the Mr America has not been held in years........

i know that a friend of mine competed at 290( he is 6 5) and after the contest we went all in into a buffet place and the nex day he was at 310 and a week later 330... he told me it was water...

Humpff...I did not know that....did not like Belknap's bod....he was among the first to get jacked on insulin...specially since he was diabetic

Yes Tim...I was at that AAU A where Rufus won...it was held in Mass...were you there? Rufus was big as a house...I recall in clothes he looked small...onstage he was a giant!

Do you remember Pete Miller from Illinois? He won the AAU A in the early 90's...I trained at his gym...enormous legs
