Guess I was lucky then. in a small, quite modern restaurant a bit "off the tourist track" in Prague, me and my wife got a terrific meal at the most amazingly low price I have ever experienced. Very friendly staff too. One of my nicest culinary experiences ever. The tourist places were bad though.

Was also quite happy with our stay in Budapest :-).

I was travelling with my japanese wife, which seems to mean "easy ripoff" to most europeans. Japanese are too friendly and naive, and they have too much money. They pay the high tourist prices and think it's normal, and they would never complaint openly.
My wife has been living in europe for quite some time, she knows how it works aroud here, so no chance for a ripoff.

I talked to the hotel staff on the second evening, so i managed to find a good restaurant as well, no tourists around. These places are okay, but i have had better.
The beer is great though.

Romanias pride, their finest building, Central Committee of the Communist Party building:

I asked a friend he is a car dealer, about Romanian cars.

He said they managed to make some of the worst cars in the world,
the oltcit and the dacia.

Despite hard competition against Russia, Poland, India, China.
Producing super low quality cars is not that easy.

I present to you the Dacia!!!

Imagine driving around in this beauty, damn what a cool car.

The Donkey Sanctuary (an English foundation) is very
concerned about the donkeys in Romania.

Their feet are damaged from dragging cars on paved roads.

Sonny talked to me for 2 hours waiting to guest pose in Constanta in Sala Sporturilor, during the 1995 Eurpean BB Championships. He was such a nice laid back guy...kind'a shocking to see how big they were ( him and an even bigger Charles Clairmonte ) . At the same time if you ever come to Romania, I'd love to show you different faces of this country that will make your jaw drop because it can be sublimely beautiful here.
