Samir competed at the 1985 World Championships - WABBA - Professional
This was not his best but probably 3rd best behind 82-83 Olympias.
I couldn't find the article but read a report where they said his color was perfect
and his condition was similar to 83 although not quite there.

Samir himself says about the difference between 1982 and 1983 Olympias:

The ultimate goal of my lifetime was finally reached when I won the 1983 Mr. Olympia title at Munich, West Germany. I had been a little more ripped the previous year, which means that almost all my cuts showed. But I was more massive in 1983, so in total I was in my best all-time shape. Winning the Mr. Olympia title was an incredibly sublime experience.

the sport has evolved - Samir had a beautiful physique, but one that is no longer competitive

Samir is a class act. Respectful and a decent person. He is a good role model for future BB's unlike Nasser who makes cowardly attacks on his colleagues and is such a disgrace to the "sport"( ) that he was omiitted from he ASC winners  in 2007.
