Gayer than who gives a shit how many languages someone speaks as long as one of them is English? English is the lingua franca for international commerce and relations, so if English is not your native tongue it is to your advantage to learn it. However, if your mother tongue is English, what's the necessity of learning anything else? I learned to speak German and a little Spanish just for fun, but neither of those languages is really useful to me on a daily basis.
