June 16 - big day for Obama
« on: June 02, 2008, 08:12:12 PM »
He's meeting with 26 Democrat governors to plan his overall campaign on that date.

Is that the day he announces/decides Hilary will be his running mate?

No. There is not room enough for those two egos on one ticket (throw Bill in and there is not room for those 3 egos on the planet).  Not a chance.

Can you list the top 3 people he should pick instead?

Clinton got 17 million votes, even more than Obama got.  A lot of racists and manhating women are going to avoid Obama just because he snubs clinton.

You can put on a Selibus, but she's not as experienced, is pro-abortion bigtime, and is a poor man''s clinton, let's be honest.  He can pick Webb, that could work.  He could pick a clinton surrogate like Rendell (fat/ugly) and Evan Bui (more of clinton)

Dunno.  She got more popular votes.  She would help him win.  I think she'll be on the ticket.

You'e right, but you're thinking rationally, not with endorphins flowing with victory.  There are people, people Obama respects, telling him to forget the Clintons, because they will be vipers undermining his administration.

I think both guys will put aside personal feelings, and choose the one who will help them win.  That most likely option is the strong #2 candidate to fill their weaknesses.

Whoever will get them the win.

For mccain, it's romney - rich, strong economic credibility, and young.
For obama - it's hilary - appeal to whites and women, and hispanics, and blue collar types - the groups he struggles with.

I can't think of anyone better than her, despite all the crappy things that she obviously is.  She's shown she can deliver blue collar vote, redneck/racist vote, hispanic vote, women vote, and all those nostalgic bill clinton voters.

No one running is perfect.  obama is a big question mark.  hilary is a liar.  mccain is angry and delusional and old.  romney is a big lying lib.

I think you're too young to fully understand Hillary, Rob.

She's not 'setting aside' ANYTHING to help someone else gain what she feels is rightfully hers.  If she can't have it, no Dem will.

By law, is Bill Clinton eligible for the VP slot?

Bill would be a nonsensical choice for veep.  he'd have to let the #3 take over if hilary ever couldn't do her duties.

hilary will take the #2 slot if offered - her team has already been lobbying for it in the last few days.

I don't think she'll sabotage obama to wait til 2012 - we all know that 1/2 of the party now hates her due to dragging out this race.  no way she'd get any love in 2012, especially because she would be blamed for the obama loss for dragging this out.

The Obama folks don't want her. She might take the job, but they don't want her.

of course they don't want her.
mccain doesn't want romney either.

But both candidates are going to pick the person who will help them most to win.  Even if it was their hated #2 rival.

The clinton politics machine came about 1% shy of winning the dem nomination (and she does lead in popular vote).  There isn't anyone stronger or more connected, to choose as veep.

yes they are.  hilary is despised at the moment.

More superdelegates are declaring for Obama today.

She's not going anywhere though.

Hil is undoubtedly discussing with her lawyers the possibility of litigation.  That's not to say that she will decide to file a lawsuit, but is is undoubtedly being considered because she has no other options.

I also think this too. The women is possessed with being President. I honestly hope she bows out with grace and retains a shred of dignity.
